Book Review: Cuddle!

Who doesn't love a good cuddle? This fantastically illustrated book is a story of a young boy who is searching for the perfect cuddle buddy. The story isn't exactly the super warm and fuzzy type and bluntly states what dangers lurk in attempting to cuddle a less than docile animal ("If I cuddled a tiger I'd end up as dinner!") but the slightly humorous explanations of why cuddling a tiger and other such animals may not be a good idea is not intended to frighten the kiddos.

The story ends on a happy note with the young boy finding the ideal cuddle mate posing the question to the reader if the chosen cuddle object is indeed a good one which allows an opportunity for reader interaction. Although not as cleverly written as some other children's books there is a decent sense of rhyme and flow to the story. The text is also fairly short making this a great quick read before bedtime.
