Book Review: Mr. Merlin and the Turtle

This is the story of Mr. Merlin the Magician, Mrs. Merlin and their very boring pet turtle. The Merlins are bored of their little green amphibian friend, so Merlin decides to put his magical powers to use and transform the turtle into something a little more exciting. The story progresses as the turtle is transformed into bigger and bigger animals with bigger and bigger problems as each is revealed under flaps on the pages in the story.

The kiddos will have fun guessing which animal is next as they lift open the flap to reveal the surprise. The story also teaches a very important lesson: be careful what you wish for, as it's not always better than what you have now.
